What we collect
faker.dev has no accounts, no cookies and no analytics. When you load a page, call the API or use the MCP server, Google Cloud, which hosts the service, logs the request: your IP address, the URL and parameters, your user agent and the time. Those logs are kept for up to 30 days to run the service and stop abuse, then deleted. Nobody gets them for advertising.
Data you generate isn't stored. It's created when you ask for it and sent back in the response.
About the data
Every value is randomly generated by the open-source Faker library. Any match with a real person, address, ID number or account is coincidence. Card numbers pass the Luhn check so they look valid to form validation, but no bank issued them and they can't be charged.
Terms
- faker.dev is free and provided as is, with no warranty and no uptime guarantee.
- Use it for testing, demos, mock-ups, teaching and similar work. Don't use generated data to impersonate anyone, pass identity checks, or commit fraud.
- Keep within the published limits. Clients that hammer the service may be blocked.
- These terms may change; the date above shows the latest version.
